 Footings and Foundations

line.jpg

The substructure that supports a building, such as piles, piers or footings, with the purpose of transmitting structural loads from the building into the earth.

The Building Code clauses relating to foundations include B1 Structure, B2 Durability and F1 Hazardous Agents Onsite.

So - why should you be bothered with this part of the build? Well, the old cliche of "solid foundations" came from somewhere. This is what your house will be resting on - done well and you will no worries. Don't poorly and subsidence, with wall cracking and even worse, can eventuate. Make sure your home has 'solid fouindations'.
